QUEENS, N.Y. - The St. John's women's cross country team will host the annual Fall Festival Race on Sunday, Oct. 14, at Cunningham Park in Queens, N.Y. A cross country and track and field alumni reception will follow the races on the St. John's Queens campus. Interested parties are asked to RSVP by Wednesday, Oct. 10.

The Fall Festival will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a one mile fun run/walk to benefit the fight against breast cancer.

Starting at 10 a.m., the Red Storm women's cross country team will compete in the 4K race with a men's 5K race to follow at 10:30 a.m.

After the races are completed, the festivities will resume in Council Hall on the St. John's campus for a brunch reception. The brunch will feature St. John's alumnus Rich Torrellas, of USA Track and Field and the women's team's head manager for the 2008 Olympic Games.
