Jamaica, N.Y.- Junior setter Robyn Kurasaki (Mililani, Hawaii) was named to the 2002 Verizon All-District I Academic Second Team, announced today. Kurasaki, a psychology major, has a cumulative 3.79 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

On the court, Kurasaki has continued to carve her name into the Red Storm record books this season. She became the first player in St. Johns history to record three consecutive 1,000-assist seasons. This season, her 1,262 assists ranks third on the all-time list for assists in a single season. Kurasaki currently holds three of the top four spots on that list.

In 2000, Kurasaki set the St. Johns record for assists in a single game when she dished out 83 assists in a five game victory over Syracuse. She is second on the all-time St. Johns list for career assists (3,703) and is on pace to break the all-time record during her senior season in 2003.
