As a Freshman (2006): Played in 32 games in 20 contests ... recorded her first collegiate kill against New Hampshire (Aug. 25) ... posted first career block against Air Force (Sept. 1) ... registered a season-high two service aces against Norfolk State (Sept. 2) ... posted a perfect hitting percentage againt Florida State (Sept. 8) ... had six kills and dished out a season-high four assists against Binghamton (Sept. 16) ... tallied a season-high eight kills on 18 attempts and two total blocks against West Virginia (Sept. 24).

At Fundacao Evangelica: Four-year letterwinner in volleyball ... in 2005, her team took first at the Copa Paqueta/Nike tournament and placed first in Jirgs in 2005 ... team also placed third in the national championship ... captained squad in 2004 ... named most valuable player in 2004 ... a member of the state championship team in 2003-05.

Off The Court Scheffel, a 2006-07 BIG EAST Academic All-Star, says her most memorable moment from last season was seeing St. John's name on the television screen when the team was selected for the NCAA Tournament. She plans to do her best to help the team win the BIG EAST Tournament. Her favorite book is The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown and her favorite song is Hey There, Delilah by Plain White T's. Scheffel likes to spend her free time at the beach.
