Before St. John’s: Poglits led Marian High School to the state quarterfinals during her sophomore, junior and senior year. After the season, she was nominated for the Wendy's Heisman Athlete of the Year and Michigan Athlete of the Year awards. She also earned All-American honors at the National AAU Tournament, competed for the Michiana Jr. Olympic team that featured the top players from Michigan and Indiana and was a finalist for Miss Volleyball which is given to the top volleyball player in the state.
