2003: Played in 34 of 35 matches and 119 games for the Red Storm. In her first year at St. John's, Nicole ranked third in the BIG EAST and led the Red Storm in digs with 474 (3.98/game). She recorded at least 20 digs seven times this season with an individual best against FDU with 25. Colaluca is currently ranked second on the all-time record for most digs in a single season for St. John's.

Before St. John's: Colaluca earned Conference Most Valuable Player honors as a senior at Naperville Central High School. As a junior and senior, she received All-Conference and All-Conference Academic honors. She was one of nine girls selected to play for the 2002 All-City Girls Volleyball team in Naperville. In 2003, she led her club team to a national championship at the Junior Olympics.
