Jamaica, N.Y.- Sheba George (Brooklyn, N.Y./ Samuel J. Tilden) set a St. Johns school record in the womens weight throw at the Milrose games. Georges 19.86m mark gave her third place in the event and qualified her for the NCAA Division I Indoor Championships in March. George also placed third in the womens shot put with a throw of 14.47m.

The St. Johns men team finished third in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 3:24.80 and also placed sixth in the 4x800 Meter Relay with a 7:57.54 mark. The women added a fifth place finish in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 4:07.75.

The St. Johns track and field team returns to action on Friday, February 8 at the Collegiate Invite at the Armory.
