QUEENS, N.Y. - The St. John's University track and field team hosted their annual Collegiate Classic today at DaSilva Memorial Field. The meet honored the 2004 senior class of Shernette Davis, Denise Raab, Jen Lebowitz, Taniesha Lewis, Grace Zollman and Sophie Sylvain.

Senior Denise Raab led the Red Storm winning the 100m hurdles, finishing at 15.47, and her personal best on the season. Judy Williams also finished in the top three of the 100m, finishing in second place with a time of 12.04. Sophomore Tarashon Broomes ran well for the Storm in the 400m with a time of 1:01.85.

In the field events, junior Sophia Bazile placed third the in the long jump at 5.32m while Sophie Sylvain finished fifth with a distance of 4.89m.

The throwing events for the SJU Collegiate Classic will take place tomorrow afternoon, May 9 at Army at West Point.
