April 28, 2005, Philadelphia, PA - Several members of the St. John's University track and field team competed at the Penn Relays this afternoon at Franklin Field in Philadelphia, PA.

Senior Blessing Egwu placed second in the hammer throw with distance of 56.64, closely behind Jen Wynn of the University of Florida. In the relay events, the 4x400m team placed with a time of 3:55.19 for the Red Storm.

St. John's returns to Franklin Field tomorrow for the second day of the Penn Relays.
