Jamaica, N.Y. - The St. Johns womens tennis team dropped its final match of the season to Manhattan College, 6-0, Wednesday afternoon at the National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y.

At No. 1 singles, Corina Cetateanu was defeated by Nanarhi Chavez-Geller, 6-2, 7-6 (7-1). Vera Efstathiou, playing No. 2 singles, fell to Jasmine Whu, 7-5, 6-3.

The only doubles team to play for the Red Storm was Heidi Laureano and Vanessa Sanmartin, who were defeated by Kulack and Ondreicka, 8-1.

St. Johns finishes out their fall season with a 0-4 record. They look forward to spring BIG EAST season under the direction of new head coach Greg Bolitsky.
