Amherst, Mass. - The St. Johns womens tennis team lost its third match of the season on Saturday, October 7 to UMass, 9-0 in Amherst, Massachusetts.

The Red Storm was shutdown by the powerful Minutewomen. St. Johns failed to win a set in singles play. Due to the small size of the St. John's University womens tennis team, Massachusetts was able to gain two points by default.

The Red Storm is now 0-3 on the season and hopes to gain its first victory against Manhattan on October 21 at the National Tennis Center.
