QUEENS, N.Y. - The Red Storm women's soccer team had a pair of players earn Academic All-District honors from CoSIDA for the 2007 season. Senior Julianna Cohen and sophomore Kelly McConnell were both named to the Academic All-District First Team.

The BIG EAST Conference had the most first team selections of any conference in the country with eleven. The conference also had twenty selections overall. Across the country, 16 teams had multiple first team selections including St. John's, Notre Dame and Marquette.

Cohen, meanwhile, has anchored a defense that has posted seven shutouts and a 0.70 goals against average as a team. McConnell has helped pace an offense that scored 27 goals in 18 games. The forward has tallied four goals, two game-winners, and two assists.

As first team All-District selections, both Cohen and McConnell will be added to the ballot for Academic All-America honors
