Queens, NY - The St. John's women's soccer team held the Loyola Greyhounds scoreless this afternoon, en route to a 2-0 Spring contest win at Belson Stadium.

Laura Burlacu tallied the game-winner for the Red Storm on a goal assisted by Erin Henderson. Henderson is back in action with St. John's after missing most of the 2004 Fall season with a knee injury.

Jane Vongvorachoti scored the insurance goal for St. John's, after an Erin Bohn cross was tipped by Holly Ryder to Vongvorachoti, who sent it into the net.

Strong defensive play by freshmen Susan Byrne and Julianna Cohen and junior Andrea Coukoulis kept the Greyhounds, who have qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the last two seasons, off the board.
