SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - Krystle Jalalian and Raelynne Lee scored goals in the first half and the St. John's defense shut out Seton Hall as the Red Storm defeated the Pirates, 2-0, Sunday afternoon at Owen Carroll Field.

With the win, St. John's improved to 9-5-2 overall and 4-5-0 in the BIG EAST. The loss dropped Seton Hall's record to 7-7-2, 3-5-1 in the league.

In the seventh minute, Jalalian took a pass from Sarah McGrath and ripped a shot from the left side of the box past Pirate goalkeeper Amanda Becker for her sixth goal of the season.

In the 18th minute, Lee added an insurance goal for the Red Storm when she finished a rebound off of a shot by Maria DeMatteo. It was Lee's fifth goal of the season.

St. John's out-shot Seton Hall, 11-10, and Red Storm goalkeeper Jaime Beran turned in a seven-save complete game shutout.

St. John's returns to Belson Stadium Friday and Sunday for its final regular-season weekend of action. The Red Storm faces Connecticut Friday night and Providence Sunday afternoon.
