Gettysburg, Pa.The St. Johns womens golf team finished fourth, carding a 27-hole score of 503, this weekend at the rain shortened ECAC Championship, held on the Links at Gettysburg in Gettysburg, Pa. It is the second top-five finish for the Red Storm in as many events, as they finished fourth earlier in the fall at the Princeton Invitational.
St. Johns was led by sophomore captain Jaclyn Sanders (Brights Grove, Ontario, Canada), who finished tied for 11th, firing a 13-over par 121. Freshman Tracey Bolger (Haddonfield, N.J.) finished tied for 16th place, carding an 18-over par 126, while freshman Christin Thomson (Ft. Francis, Ontario, Canada) finished tied for 28th, shooting a 21-over par 129. Sophomore Jennifer Rhee (Rydal, Pa.) and freshman Katie Lebel (Mooretown, Ontario, Canada) finished 37th,carding a 23-over par 131 and tied for 43rd,shooting a 26-over par 134, respectively.
The St. Johns womens golf team returns to action on October 18-19 when they travel to Piscataway, N.J. to play in the Rutgers Invitational held on the Rutgers University Golf Course.
