Lambertson Earns Roar-ee Invitational Championship Title
 

 

Junior women’s golfer Brittany Lamberston earned her first championship title of the spring season at the Roar-ee Invitational on Saturday, April 07, hosted by Columbia University. St. John’s finished in fourth place overall, carding a 650 over the two round event.

Lambertson took first place after posting a seven-over par 149. She carded her lowest round of the season during day one, posting a two-over par 73.

Rookie Samantha Tejada also had her most successful outing of the spring, tying for sixth place. She recorded a 162, shooting an 81 in each round.

Classmate Renee Cloutier finished right outside of the top-10, tying for 11th place overall with a 165. Michelle Romano and Lois Kim rounded out the starting five for the Red Storm, shooting a 170 and 175, respectively.

The St. John’s women’s golf team will play in the Hartford Invitational, April 16-17.
