Lewisburg, PA - The St. John's women's golf team wins the Bucknell Fall Classic at Bucknell Golf Club in Lewisburg, PA. The Red Storm battled inclement weather throughout the final round to secure the team championship. In her first season with the team, Coach Ambry Bishop has had tremendous impact guiding the Red Storm to three team championship out of the five tournaments they entered. St. John's wins its last two tournaments to end the fall season in grand fashion.

St. John's finished strong shooting a final round 32-over par 316 to finish at 53-over par 621, a remarkable 27 strokes ahead of the 16 team field. St. Francis University finished second, carding a two day total of 80-over par 648. Harvard University finished third at 81-over par 649,and rounding out the top-five was Brown University and host Bucknell University at 101-over par 669.

Wining the individual championship was Katie Loncke from Harvard University who fired a final round four-over par 75 to win by two strokes over St. John's freshman standout Brittany Lambertson (Northport, NY). Lambertson shot rounds of 75 and 78 to finish at 11-over par 153. Finishing third one stroke back was teammate junior Maggie Steciuk (Ontario, Canada) who carded a two round total of 12-over par 154.

The Red Storm was led by a complete team effort. Lambertson and Steciuk finished two,three, while senior Jaclyn Sanders (Ontario, Canada) and junior Christin Thomson (Ontario, Canada) finished tied for fifth. Both shot a two round total of 15-over par 157. Sanders carded two rounds of 78,79 and Thomson carded a 76,81 to help the Red Storm to a first place finish.

Also finishing in the top-20 for the Red Storm was senior Jennifer Rhee ( Rydal, PA). Rhee was playing as an individual and shot a first round score of seven-over par 78 and fought thru the bad weather in the final round to finish tied for 20th at 26-over par 168. Junior Katie Lebel (Ontario, Canada) added to the team success carding a tournament total 32-over par 174 to finish tied for 45th place.

The Red Storm have concluded their fall season and will return to the course this March for the start of the spring schedule.
