Miami, FL - The St. John's women's golf team finishes in sixth place at the Pat Bradley Invitational, hosted by Florida International University at the Doral Blue in Miami, FL. The Red Storm carded a final round 18-over par 306 and finished with a three round team score total of 941. The team championship went to Princeton University, carding a three round team total 43-over par 907, seven strokes ahead of the 16 team field. University of Miami finished in second at 914, followed by University of Central Florida at 928, Bethune-Cookman College at 936 and rounding out the top-five was Middle-Tennessee State at 940. Winning the individual race was Tina Miller from the University of Miami. Miller was three strokes back entering the final round and fired a four-under par 68 on Sunday to finish in first at three-under par 213. In second place was Avery Kiser of Princeton University, carding a three round total one-over par 217. St. John's was lead in the final round by junior Maggie Steciuk (London, Ontario, Canada) who carded a three-over par 75 for a tournament total 26-over par 242. Freshman Brittany Lambertson (Northport, NY) shot a final round four-over par 76 to finish with a three round total of 18-over par 234, finishing tied for 16th place. Also finishing tied for 16th was junior Christin Thomson (Ontario, Canada) who shot a final round of six-over par 78. Senior Jaclyn Sanders (Ontario, Canada) fired two consecutive rounds of five-over par 77 to finished tied for 21st place, carding a three round total 19-over par 235. Senior Jennifer Rhee (Rydal, PA) placed tied for 40th , shooting a three round total 27-over par 243.
The women's golf team returns to the course on October 15-17 when they travel to Piscataway, NJ to play in the Rutgers Invitational at the Rutgers Golf Club.
