ECAC Championship: Overall Team Results

QUEENS, N.Y. - The St. John's women's golf team (39-over 615) finished second overall as the Princeton Tigers (23-over 599) took the title at the ECAC Championship, held at the par 72 Kiskiack Golf Course in Williamsburg Va.

Junior Michele Romano finished third individually in a field of 90 players, her highest collegiate finish, as she carded a 3-over 147. Romano continues her phenomenal play from this summer where she won the Long Island Women's Amateur. Junior Renee Cloutier played very well for the Red Storm, finishing tied for sixth overall with a 9-over 153.

Junior Lois Kim charged on the second day, carding a 75 in the second round, ending the tournament tied for 16th with a 13-over 157. Freshman Ellen Oswald, who competed as an individual, also tied for 16th. This is her first top-20 finish with the Red Storm.

Junior Samantha Tejada and Ashley Szewczuk rounded out the scoring for St. John's. Tejada finished just outside the top-20 with a 15-over 159 while Szewczuk carded a 19-over 163 which placed her tied for 39.

Head coach Ambry Bishop-LaRosa and the Red Storm is back in action next week, Oct. 13-14, when the team travels to West Palm Beach, Fla. to take part in the Nova Southeastern Shark Invitational.
