Queens, NY - The St. John's University women's golf team dominated the second day of competition at the Hartford Invitational this afternoon at Wampanoag Country Club to win the event with a two-day score of 668. The win was the Red Storm's first of the spring season and fourth of the 2004-05 season.

In the second round, the Red Storm widened what was a five-stroke first round lead, by firing a 328, the best round by 19 strokes. St. John's edged out host Hartford, who finished second with a 692, followed by Siena (698), LIU-Brooklyn (702) and Lehigh (706) to round out the top-five.

Senior Jennifer Rhee (Rydal, PA) lead the Red Storm, tying for fourth with a 21-over par 167, three strokes behind individual winner Caitlin Munroe of Hofstra. Senior Jaclyn Sanders (Brights Grove, Ontario) was one stroke behind Rhee with a 168 in sixth place, while juniors Christin Thomson (Ft. Frances, Ontario) and Maggie Steciuk (London, Ontario) tied for ninth with a 169. Freshman Brittany Lambertson (Northport, NY) rounded out the Red Storm top-five with a 14th place, 25-over par 171.
