Jennifer Rhee Makes St. John's Women's Golf History With First Ever Hole In One In .

Reston, VA-The St. John's women's golf team finished in fourth place at the Georgetown Hoya Classic, hosted by Georgetown University at Reston Country Club. The Red Storm carded a tournament total 87-over par 663, 13 shots behind Radford University who finished in first place.

The Red Storm carded a first round 335, which put them in sixth place after day one, 15 strokes behind Radford University who finished the day in first with a round of 320. The Red Storm were led by junior Jaclyn Sanders (Ontario, Canada) who posted a seven over par 79. Sophomore Maggie Steciuk (Ontario, Canada) posted a ten over par 82.

In the final round of the Georgetown Hoya Classic the Red Storm had an impressive day, posting a final round tournament low 328, and finished in fourth place with a 663. Junior Jennifer Rhee (Rydal, PA.) knocked in the first ever hole in one in St. John's women's golf history. St. John's junior Jaclyn Sanders (Ontario, Canada) led the way with her third top five finish this season, shooting a final round nine over par 81 to finish in fifth place with a 160, 11 strokes out of the lead. Junior Christin Thomson (Ontario, Canada) who entered the final round tied for 23rd, carded the 2nd top score of the final round, a 6 over par 78. She moved up 15 spots on the leader board to finish tied for eighth.

The St. John's women's golf team swings back into action on April 2-4, when they play in the Spider Invitational at Hawk Glenn C.C. in Richmond, VA.
