PRINCETON, N.J. - The St. John's men's tennis team wrapped up play on Sunday at the Farnsworth Invitational, hosted by Princeton University. The squad was led by freshman Milo Hauk, who won the B Singles Consolation Bracket. Hauk finished the weekend with a 4-1 record. The freshman rebounded from a loss in the first round of the main draw to win his next three matches in the consolation bracket: an 8-3 pro-set win over Princeton's Parker Preyer, an 8-6 victory over Sho Matsumoto from Columbia and a 6-3, 6-4 win over Jordan Abergel of Yale to setup a finals match with Penn's Jason Lin. After dropping the first set, 4-6, Hauk fought back to sweep the second set, 6-0. In the third-set tiebreaker, Hauk defeated Lin 10-6 and claimed his first bracket win of his Red Storm career. In doubles play, the pair of sophomore Asaf Honig and senior Jordan Talbot recorded a 1-1 record. The tandem reached the semifinals of the B Doubles Bracket, where they were defeated by Jeremy Feldman and Andy Gauthier of Cornell. The Red Storm men's tennis team returns to action on Oct. 10-12, when the squad takes part in the Columbia Invitational, hosted by Columbia University, in New York, N.Y.
