Storrs, CT - The St. John's men's tennis team won its third-straight BIG EAST match, beating Connecticut 7-0 on Saturday. The Red Storm improve to 5-11 overall with the win and are 3-2 in conference action. St. John's swept all three doubles matches to take the first point, and went on to sweep all six singles matches for the 7-0 win. Aurelio DiZazzo and Louis Desmarteaux at No. 1 and Boris Chipourkha and Todd Goldberg at No. 3, each won their doubles matches 8-4, while Nick Stocker and Claudio Halim won their No. 2 match 9-7. In singles play, David Nylen beat Matt Stinson 6-4, 6-2 at the No. 1 spot and DiZazzo topped Sho Sato 7-5, 6-2 at NO. 2. Stocker and Halim won back-to-back at No. 3 and No. 4, before Morgan Bauer and Chipourkha won easily (6-1, 6-3 and 6-1, 6-0) at the No. 5 and No. 6 positions, respectively.
