Boston, MA - The Red Storm men's tennis team topped edged Boston College, 4-3, in a BIG EAST conference match on Friday. St. John's won the doubles point and, after a win at No. 2 singles, relied on the bottom two positions in the line-up to lead the team to the win.

All three doubles matches were tightly contested, but St. John's prevailed in two to earn the point. Aurelio Di Zazzo and Louis Desmarteaux won 8-6 at No. 1 over Chris McCoy and Jason Sechrist and Nick Stocker and Claudio Halim held on to beat Dennis Reardon and Chris Louis 9-8 at the No. 3 spot.

In singles action, St. John's won three matches handily for the four-point team victory. David Nylen won at the No. 2 position, beating McCoy 6-1, 6-3, Halim beat Louis 6-3, 6-1 at No. 5 and Morgan Bauer topped Reardon 6-1, 6-1 at No. 6 for the win.

The Red Storm will face conference foe Connecticut on Saturday.
