Stony Brook, NY - The Stony Brook men's tennis team defeated St. John's 5-2 Friday afternoon at University Courts on the Stony Brook campus. The doubles teams of Jan Krejci and Tal Meir and Michael Crooks and Jean-Francois Robitaille both won the number one and two spots with scores of 8-5 to earn the doubles point for the Seawolves. Stony Brook swept the 1-4 singles positions to take the match. St. John's earned two points were earned in the the five and six singles positions. The Red Storm will return to action on Saturday. St. John's will face two conference rivals, beginning with Georgetown at 10 am. The Red Storm will also face Rutgers at 2 pm. Both matches will take place is Piscataway, NJ.
