Queens, NY - The St. John's University men's tennis team dropped their sixth straight match on Friday, as they lost at Southern Mississippi, 4-1. The Red Storm are now 1-8 in the spring season.

After dropping the doubles point, the Red Storm battled in singles play, but were only able to pull out one point. Junior David Nylen (Orebro, Sweden) picked up the lone singles win for St. John's, as he beat Marc Lux at No. 2 singles, 6-4, 6-4. Juniors Nick Stocker (Norwich, England) and Claudio Halim (Jakabarta, Indonesia) were both tied in the third set of their match, before it was suspended.
