Before St. John's: Honig has competed in the Israeli national circuit since 1996 ... has also taken part in the Ra'anana Championships and Spain Championships ... won the national title in his age group on seven different occasions ... took first place in the Ra'anana Championships in 1998, 1999 and 2001 ... placed fourth in the Spain Championships in 2000. Personal: son of Daniel and Dafna Honig ... has two sisters, Adi (26) and Ifat (24) ... an international business major. Off The Court: Honig enjoys listening to music, watching TV and movies, and going out with friends. He lists the Lord of the Rings trilogy as his favorite movies, Rascal Flatts as his favorite band and he is a big fan of the TV show Lost. Honig came to St. John's because of Coach Rebhuhn and the school's proximity to Manhattan. He has played tennis in seven different countries: Spain, Turkey, Romania, Portugal, China Israel and America. His father has been the most influential person in his career.
