May 2, 2005, Queens, NY - Freshman lacrosse goalie Dave Saccente (Lake Grove, NY) was named to the ECAC Honor Roll today by conference officials. This is the second straight week in a row that Saccente received such honors.

Against #19 Delaware this past Saturday, the St. John's lacrosse Most Valuable Player totaled 17 saves for the Red Storm, which is his fourth straight game with 17 or more stops. In conference games, Saccente ranks first among some of the nations top defenders, averaging 16.80 saves per game.

For the season, Saccente averaged a .594 save percentage, which ranks him 12th in the nation as of May 1.
