John Kutner enters his second season as an assistant coach for the Red Storm lacrosse program. Kutner played for the Red Storm for two seasons from 2005-06 and served as the team captain in 2006. During his senior campaign, he started all 13 contests where he tallied two assists and collected 33 groundballs. As a junior, the defenseman was sidelined half of the season with an injury, but he played in five games and picked up 11 groundballs. Before transferring to St. John's, Kutner played for Nassau Community College, where he earned first team NJCAA All-America honors. He also led NCC to a district title. A Garden City, N.Y. native, Kutner attended Garden City High School and was part of the 2000 State Championship team. Kutner graduated from St. John's in 2007 with B.S. in accounting and will complete his master's degree in accounting in 2008. Currently, Kutner also works as a freshman advisor at St. John's University.
