Men In Fifth, Women In Fourth At BIG EAST Golf Championships

Men's Second Day Results Get Acrobat Reader

QUEENS, N.Y. - The women's golf team, 41-over, 617, moved up a spot from day one, taking sole possession of fourth place while the men's team, 24-over 600, stood tall in fifth place after the second day of play at the BIG EAST Championship.

The men's team is led by senior co-captain Keegan Bradley, who carded an even par 72 and is tied for second overall, seven strokes off the lead. Senior Brittany Lambertson paces the women's squad and is tied for the overall lead after scoring a 74, moving to four-over 148.

The Red Storm men got scores of 72, 75, 75, 78 and 79 on day two and stand 21 strokes off the lead. Sophomore Evan Beirne is second on the team with a seven-over 151.

The St. John's women got scores of 74, 74, 77, 77 and 86 on the second day of play and are 26 strokes off the lead. Sophomore Lois Kim turned in an excellent round of 74 and is now tied for 12th overall with an 11-over 155.

The final round for both teams will be held tomorrow. The men will tee off at the Traditions Golf Club in Hebron, Ky., while the women start the final day at Elks Run Golf Club in Batavia, Ohio.
