Svoboda Finishes Second at Princeton Invitational

Princeton, N.J.- Junior Andrew Svoboda (Stamford, Conn.) finished in a tie for second place at the Princeton Invitational. He carded a five-under par 137 to earn his team leading fourth top-five finish of the season.

The Red Storm finished third overall with a two-day score of 584, 19 shots behind the winner Penn State. Joe Saladino (Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y.) finished in 24th place carding a six-over par 148. Senior Jesse Fitzgerald (Sayville, N.Y.), sophomores Kyle Sleasman (Loudonville, N.Y.) and John DeForest (Cottekile, N.Y.) finished in a tie for 36th place with an eight-over par 150.

St. Johns travels to Notre Dame for the BIG EAST championship on April 20-21. St. Johns finished second last year and is considered to be one of the favorites for this years championship.
