St. Augustine, Fla.The St. Johns mens golf team finished 11th, posting a three round score of 966, at the season opening Palencia Collegiate played at Palencia C.C. in St. Augustine, Fla. Auburns Jay Mundy earned individual medallist honors, leading the Tigers to the team title.

The Red Storm was led by senior Andrew Svoboda (Stamford, Conn.)Kyle Sleasman (Loudonville, N.Y) finished tied for 47th, carding a 27-over par 243, while sophomore Ian Middleton (British Columbia, Canada) finished tied for 57th at 43-over par 259. Junior John DeForest (Cottekill, N.Y.) and sophomore John Browndorf (Rumson, N.J.) finished 59th and 60th, respectively.

The St. Johns mens golf team returns to action on Thursday, March 6 when they travel to Fort Lauderdale, Fla. for the first round of the Fort Lauderdale Classic.
