St. Augustine, Fla.The St. Johns mens golf team is in 10th place after firing an opening round 331 at the Palencia Collegiate Invite being played at Palencia C.C. in St. Augustine, Fla. St. Johns was led by junior Kyle Sleasman (Loudonville, N.Y.) who is tied for 25th at six-over par 78.

Senior Andrew Svoboda (Stamford, Conn.) is tied for 34th, carding an eight-under par 80, while junior Ian Middleton (Delta, British Columbia, Canada) is tied for 49th, shooting a 12-over par 84. Freshman John Browndorf (Rumson, N.J.) and junior John DeForest (Cottekill, N.Y.) are in 57th and 60th place, respectively.

Play concludes at the Palencia Collegiate Invite on Monday, March 3 with teams teeing off for a final 18 holes.
