St. John's Men's Golf Finishes Sixth at the Rain Shortened Rutgers Invitational

New Brunswick, NJ - The St. John's University men's golf team finishes in sixth place at the rain shortened Rutgers Invitational. Rainstorms throughout Saturday morning forced the cancellation of Saturday's final round, shortening the tournament to only 36 holes played on Friday.

Rutgers University won the team championship at four-under par 564 followed by Maryland (576), Loyola College (580), Columbia (580) and Connecticut rounded at the top-five at (587) The Red Storm finished sixth carding rounds of nine-over par 293 and 11-over par 295, finishing at 20-over par total of 588.

Winning the individual championship was Jason Bataille from Rutgers University who carded a six-under par 136. Chris Condello from Columbia University finished in second place at three-under par 139.

St. John's was led by freshman Keegan Bradley (Hopkinton, MA), who finished tied for third at two-under par 140. Bradley fired two consecutive rounds of one-under par 70.

The St. John's men's golf team returns to action on September 24-25 when they host The McLaughlin at Bethpage Red in Farmingdale, NY.
