St. John's Men's Golf Finishes 14th at Cardinal Classic

Louisville, Ky. - The St. John's University men's golf team finished in 14th place at Cardinal Classic, being held at Cardinal C.C. in Louisville, Ky. The Red Storm carded a final round 318, to give them a total of 942 for the three round event.

St. John's was led by freshman Joe Yastrub (Lake Grove, N.Y.), who tied for 26th place at nine-over par 225. Sophomore Tom Travalja (Oradell, N.J.), playing as an individual, finished 62nd, carding a 21-over par 237. Sophomore Brian McArdle (Huntington, N.Y.) tied for 64th at 23-over par 239, while freshman John Stoltz (Middletown, N.Y.) finished tied for 69th at 26-over par 242. Senior Kyle Sleasman (Loudonville, N.Y.) and junior Ian Middleton (British Columbia, Canada) finished in 70th and 74th place, respectively.

The St. John's men's golf team returns to action this weekend when they travel to Scranton, Pa. to play in the Temple Classic on October 3-4.
