After sweeping a doubleheader against Iona, the No. 21/20 St. John's baseball team hosts the University of South Florida in its final home BIG EAST series of the season. The series opens with a 6 p.m. game on Friday, May 9 and continues with a 1 p.m. game on Saturday, May 10. The series concludes at Noon on Sunday, May 11.

St. John's and USF have met just eight times in a series that began in 2006. The Red Storm holds a 5-3 edge, including a 2-1 edge in home games. The teams last met in the BIG EAST Tournament on May 23, 2007, when the Bulls edged the Red Storm by a 2-0 score. St. John's took of three from the Bulls in Tampa, Fla., during the regular season. St. John's also took two of three from USF in the 2006 regular season and defeated the Bulls, 6-4, in a BIG EAST Tournament matchup.
