Bernard Rencher is the assistant director of Academic Support for Student- Athletes. He is a double alumni, he holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Athletic Administration (1980), and a Masters of Science degree in Student Development Practices In Higher Education (2003). Bernard was a former student-athlete for the Men’s Basketball program and was the team’s co-captain in his final season.
He currently resides in Elmont, NY with his wife Sharon and their five children. In his role as assistant director, he is responsible for monitoring the academic progress of his assigned student-athlete’s. He also serves as a liaison between the Athletic Department and the respective Dean’s offices. He currently advises the Men’s Fencing, Women’s Fencing, Women’s Track, Men’s Lacrosse and Volleyball teams respectively.
