Eric Reinecker is in his second year as Director of Academic Support for Student-Athletes at St. John's. Reinecker is responsible for the overall coordination and supervision of the newly created academic support program.
Prior to St. John's, Reinecker served as Senior Athletic Academic Advisor at Rutgers for three years. From 1997-2000, Reinecker served as the Director of the RU STRONG/NCAA Life Skills Program at Rutgers.
Reinecker has been very involved in professional organizations, serving as a member of the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics (N4A) Executive Board (1998-2000) and was the editor organization's newsletter.
Reinecker earned his master's degree in athletic counseling from Springfield College, and is a 1995 graduate of the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, where he earned all-conference and all-New York honors as a member of the men's soccer team.
