Sara Kamber is in her first year as a graduate assistant in the Athletic Communications Department at St. John's University.
Kamber assists with the media relations efforts for St. John's 17 Division I Intercollegiate programs and serves as the primary contact for softball, men's and women's golf and men's and women's fencing.
She graduated from Pennsylvania State University at Erie in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications and media studies.
Kamber worked as a student assistant in Penn State-Erie's Sports Information Department, where she produced game previews, media guides and press releases as well as assisted in the planning of sporting events including tournaments and championships. Kamber also worked as the Sports Editor of Penn State Erie's school newspaper, The Behrend Beacon.
While an undergraduate, Kamber also worked as a marketing intern for the New York Liberty at Madison Square Garden. With the Liberty, she helped create sponsorship packages and contest ideas and also handled gameday responsibilities such as arena preparation and special event execution.
Kamber currently resides in Brooklyn, N.Y.
