Position:
Sports Psychology, Counseling Consultant

Mark Armiento is a sports psychology & counseling consultant for the St. John's University' athletic department. For over 25 years, Armiento has been providing training, clinical and consultation services for professionals in the areas of personal development, alcohol and drug misuse, sport performance, organizational management and general health & wellness.

In addition, Armiento is the Vice President of Outreach Project and Director of the Outreach Training Institutes, a 17 million dollar non-profit agency which has been providing drug & alcohol treatment and training services in the New York Metropolitan area for over 25 years.

The Outreach mission is: "To empower individuals, families and communities to make choices which will enable them to experience a responsible life free from alcohol and drug abuse."

His agency's 20 clinical programs are located in New York and Long Island and specialize in services to families & children. Armiento's three Training Institutes (OTI) are located in Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island, and instruct over 300 therapists yearly. The Outreach Training Institute has been awarded the 2005 IPDA New York State award for program excellence in addictions education and training.

Armiento holds N.Y.S. licenses in Mental Health & Marriage & Family Therapy, is a Master Addictions Counselor (MAC), NCAC II, and a current N.Y.S. Credential in Alcohol and Drug Counseling (CASAC). He holds advanced certificates in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Hypnosis, Reiki, Auricular Acupuncture, EMDR (Trauma Reduction), Transcendental Meditation (TM) and currently has a private practice in Westchester.
