Now is the time to ensure that the substance of that tradition is sustained and nourished. It's about building a foundation for the future.
The Red-White Club is composed of alumni and friends of St. John's University Athletics. It provides athletic scholarship support and other necessary funding for more than 300 student-athletes annually. The financial support provided by members of the Red- White Club enable the athletic department to:

• Provide each student-athlete with quality educational opportunities.
• Provide first-class athletic facilities for student-athletes to train, practice and compete on and in.
• Provide the University and our coaches with the opportunity to recruit top-flight student-athletes.
• Ensure that our student-athletes have the opportunity to succeed in the classroom and on the playing fields.

You can be part of this foundation by becoming a Red- White Club member where you'll enjoy the fellowship, friendship and benefits associated with a prestigious institution. As a member, you will have the opportunity to attend exclusive events, meet SJU coaches and receive benefits associated with the various giving levels listed in this brochure. Most importantly, Red-White Club members can feel the pride and satisfaction of providing student- athletes with a quality education.

Joining is simple. Your gift to the Athletic Department instantly makes you a member. With four ways to contribute and ten levels of giving, you can join at a level that matches your preferences. This allows a broad base of loyal St. John's supporters to work together and be dedicated to maintaining the University's proud heritage.

Your contribution to the Red-White Club provides funding for the unmet costs of the intercollegiate athletics program at St. John's. The funds cover items including scholarships, recruitment of student-athletes and coaches, and facility improvements. You can give and make a direct impact in one of four ways:

Direct Gifts: Gifts can be made in the form of cash, check, or credit card. The Red- White Club accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. Gifts can be made annually or periodically throughout the year. Checks should be made payable to St. John's University Athletics.

Matching Gifts: St. John's University qualifies for most charitable matching gift programs. If your company participates in such programs, you'll receive Red-White Club credit for the matching gift. All donors whose employers participate in a matching gift program should obtain the matching gift forms through the proper office, complete them and mail them in with their own donation.

Appreciated Securities: Gifts of appreciated stock or bonds are another way to support your favorite team and receive a greater tax benefit than you would from an equivalent of cash.

Endowed Gifts: Establishing an endowment in your name or in the name of a loved one is an excellent way to help insure continuing support of St. John's Athletics. Endowment gifts are invested donations whose earned interest is awarded to a student-athlete. Donors can choose to designate their gift towards a specific endowment.
